Founded in 2017, Kumu is the largest social entertainment app in the Philippines. Venture-backed by top investors such as General Atlantic and Foxmont Capital Partners, Kumu aims to amplify Filipino creativity, community, and commerce.

Challenge

To bring down their Cost Per Install (CPI), Kumu wanted to identify and target relevant, high intent cohorts. This was envisioned to drive customer acquisition efficiency by increasing the overall Install rate and bring down the Cost Per Click (CPC) on live campaign ads.

Solution

Pixis' AI redistributed Kumu's ad budgets based on its campaign performance across Facebook, while it simultaneously generated new audience cohorts for scale. It further focussed on continuous and accurate retargeting, along with real-time media spend optimization, that led to swift increase in conversion rates (CVRs) and Cost Per Installs (CPI) across campaings. With Pixis, Kumu was able to scale 3.6 times with speed and efficiency.

Our objective was to improve the CPI by increasing audience engagement. While there were multiple performance improvement softwares out there, Pixis offered exactly what we needed - a system that identifies and works on the root cause - real-time targeting of relevant audience groups.
